Pack your bags for the coast.
SMACNA Greater Chicago’s 2026 Annual Conference is heading to beautiful Cape Cod, June 4–7, at the spectacular Chatham Bars Inn. It promises to be a perfect mix of business, coastal charm and memorable experiences.
Perched above the Atlantic Ocean, Chatham Bars Inn offers sweeping water views, refreshing ocean breezes and the kind of setting that invites you to slow down and savor the moment. Early June on the Cape is truly special — before peak season arrives when the coastline is vibrant and the atmosphere is easy and unhurried.
We’ll begin the conference with a festive New England lobster bake at our Opening Reception, then explore some of the Cape’s most iconic experiences — including a ferry ride to Nantucket for a day of harbor views, cobblestone streets, boutique shopping and waterfront dining. Golfers will have the opportunity to tee it up on the Starboard Course at The Captains Golf Course, while non-golfers will enjoy a private lighthouse tour followed by a wine tasting and luncheon at Truro Vineyards. Guests will also have access to the award-winning four-star spa at Chatham Bars Inn, adding another opportunity to enjoy the resort’s exceptional amenities. It’s a thoughtfully curated blend of coastal adventure, connection and classic New England character. Of course, we’ll also take care of business with meaningful chapter discussions and updates — but just as important is the opportunity to reconnect, strengthen relationships and enjoy time together in an unforgettable setting. As part of this year’s program, Todd Hill, SMACNA’s President, will provide a comprehensive national update, highlighting the strategic priorities, industry trends and legislative developments shaping the future of our sheet metal industry.
This year’s special contractor member rate is $2,075 per couple, which includes a three-night stay at Chatham Bars Inn, a spa certificate, the Nantucket excursion and a variety of outstanding dining and entertainment experiences. The individual rate is $1,775.
Cape Cod in June. Ocean air. Great company. I hope you’ll join us. Looking forward to seeing you on the Cape.
Warm regards,
Tom Coonan,
President
