Local 73 Welcomes New Training Coordinator

After more than 34 years as a Local 73 member, including eight years as Apprentice Coordinator, Sean Mulhearn retired July 31. During his tenure, Local 73’s JATC achieved recertification of its TAB lab — one of just 11 in the country certified to current standards. 

We thank Sean for his years of service to the apprenticeship program and wish him a happy retirement.

Kenn Short will take the reins as Local 73’s new Apprentice Coordinator. A second-generation tinner and 27-year LU73 member, Kenn completed the union’s four-year apprenticeship before serving 11 years as a Local 73 officer.

Congratulations to Kenn on his new role! We look forward to working with him as he leads Local 73’s apprenticeship program into its next chapter.
